Our History
In 1984, thanks to the entrepreneurship of Lorenzo Lozza, MECCANICA 2 ELLE was founded in Palazzolo sull’Oglio. From the outset, the company specialized in the boring and milling of small-scale components.
Over the years, the business transitioned from a sole proprietorship into a limited liability company (S.r.l.). With the entry of the founder's children into the company, it established itself as a recognized player in the heavy machining of medium-to-large components for the steel, energy, and marine sectors.
In 2009, backed by a significant financial investment, a new production facility was built on Via Pontida, also in Palazzolo sull’Oglio, featuring an indoor footprint of over 4,000 sqm.
Latest-generation machine tools and modern equipment were installed at this site, substantially increasing the weight and dimensional capacities of the workpieces. As a result, MECCANICA 2 ELLE is now fully equipped to meet the most diverse and demanding requirements of the market.
Following the recruitment of highly specialized personnel, the manufacturing and overhaul of various types of industrial gearboxes—primarily for the steel industry—was successfully integrated alongside core machining operations
As a natural evolution, assembly operations were expanded to include the manufacturing of individual production machinery and complex turn-key systems utilized across various manufacturing sectors, additionally managing on-site installation at the end-user's facility.
In 2003, the company obtained its quality management certification under the ISO 9001:2000 standard, which has since been updated to ISO 9001:2015.
Quality policy
In 2023, work began on expanding the Via Pontida facility, coupled with investments in next-generation machinery. These advancements led the company to secure a European investment grant promoted by the Ministry of Enterprises under the "Sustainable Investments 4.0" framework.
Today, Meccanica 2 ELLE boasts 8,000 sqm of production space, 40 employees, and active partnerships worldwide. An additional 2,500 sqm of production space will soon be integrated, expanding the total facility footprint to 10,500 sqm.
In 2024, Meccanica 2 ELLE celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Energy Efficiency Initiative for the Production Processes of Micro, Small, and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises
The investment project is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the production facility. The primary objective is to reduce energy costs through the purchase and installation of a photovoltaic system, alongside the replacement of legacy lighting fixtures with low-consumption LED technology.
